SelectiveMutism.co.za is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to spreading the word and providing information, resources and support to people suffering from this debilitating and relatively unknown Anxiety Disorder.

We are passionate about getting help to people suffering from SM in the form of electronic information, on-line resources and links to other informative websites, where further helpful information can be obtained from, and most importantly - Support Groups and even no-stress play groups for the younger children!

We have noted through personal experience and years of research that resources are extremely limited (especially in South Africa) and we would like to create awareness and help make a difference!

As far as qualifications are concerned: Natural Healing (nutritional and herbal healing), an intense desire to help make a difference, years of personal research on various levels of health and nutrition and Selective Mutism, as well as personal experience with Selective Mutism and our own Selectively Mute child can be added to this list. (Unfortunately no degree or title to add!)
